A registered massage therapist (RMT) in British Columbia is a health professional regulated by CMTBC under BC’s Health Professions Act.

Like all regulated health professionals, RMTs practice within their professional scope of practice. For RMTs, this means providing primarily manual, hands-on treatment and assessment in accordance with the definition of “massage therapy” in the Massage Therapists Regulation.

Many modalities and treatments that may be considered acceptable in other jurisdictions are outside the scope of practice of massage therapy in British Columbia.

After graduating with a B.Sc. in 2007, I spent a decade in the corporate world before pursuing my passion for natural healing and transitioning to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

In 2015, I earned my Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) designation in Alberta. The following year, I completed my Acupuncture program and exam, becoming a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.). In 2022, after relocating to Kelowna, BC, I successfully challenged the BC RMT board exam and transferred my registration. Throughout this journey, I have had the privilege of learning from respected TCM masters, and I never stop seeking opportunities to deepen my knowledge and refine my practice.

Today, I integrate my expertise in Acupuncture and Massage Therapy, further supported by my MOT(Manual Osteopath Techniques) studies, completed in September 2022. My commitment to continuous growth has led me to pursue advanced training in techniques such as the Flat Head needle for microtrauma myofascial release and the balancing method needle for instant pain relief, all aimed at fostering global inner balance.

In August 2024, I expanded my skills further by completing training in Laser Acupuncture, a modern, safe, and painless practice that is particularly effective for pediatric conditions. I am now offering laser acupuncture treatments as part of my practice.

Beyond my clinical work, I am a certified Yoga instructor and a dedicated Chinese Qigong practitioner. I also enjoy cycling, hiking, and promoting an active lifestyle, which complements my passion for holistic health.
